Malu is moving to Chicago and she's not very happy about it. She's also not very happy with the way her mother would like her to be. Two things do make her happy: punk music and creating zines. The book is the 2018 Pura Belpré Award Author Honor winner "The First Rule of Punk" by Celia Perez. Students from Virginia talk about those times when they acted "punk" with host Kitty Felde. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is celebrity reader.
